ABSTRACT:
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood, Fortunately, most diabetic children can lead active and relatively normal lives if they receive proper care everywhere. In school the younger diabetic children are often not mature enough to manage themselves throughout a school day. Therefore, it should be a school nurse available in every school building to assist with diabetes management.
